SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, LEATHER GOODS

-Collaborate with design to develop men’s and women’s luxury leather goods from concept to creation

​

-Review samples and provide corrections to manufacturers for each development phase, overseeing over 80 new styles per season

​

-Manage all communication with manufacturers and create purchase orders, bill of materials, and production sheets per SKU

​

-Problem solve and value engineer samples to ensure production efficiency while testing products to verify quality

​

-Establish and standardize new processes to increase productivity

​

-Negotiate pricing, manage finished good costs and retail margins while tracking the development budget

​

-Spearhead the implementation of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system

​

-Execute cross-functional tasks: review photo decks for website approval, create linesheets for the sales team, analyze quality of

leather, establish packaging instructions, manage the sample studio, and assist with the production schedule

​

-Visit factories regularly
