• Work with the design team and creative director to design the SS16 collection from concept to production

• Assist the head designer in researching inspiration, silhouettes, fabrics and trims

• Design a textile print and trim that is featured in the SS16 collection in five styles

• Source fabrics and trims from the Garment District and organize the fabric library

• Illustrate designs, drape and sew samples, and create graphic layouts, and colorway options

• Aid the technical designer by attending fittings, correcting patterns, creating tech packs, and specing garments

• Assist the production manager with keeping up on deadlines, communicating with local and overseas vendors, approving lab dips and strike-offs, managing samples, and creating line sheets

• Collaborate with other departments to assist on the SS16 showcase and various other tasks such as managing photoshoots and editing photographs

JUNIOR DIRECTOR 

• Plan and organize the 2014 Michigan State University's Annual Apparel and Textile Design Fashion Show

• Assist the jury process of selecting the designs to be in the show as well as the show order

• Communicate with over 30 designers, 20 volunteers, and 80 models to organize several informational meetings and manage everyone behind stage

• Create the show's program and judges' look-book using Photoshop and Illustrator

FASHION DESIGNER 

• One of six selected out of 26 to showcase at the FIT Associates Exhibition 

• Create an original design utilizing contrasting fabrics to create texture and reflect light

• Hand pleated chiffon and hand sewed the alternating fluted materials
